I recently acquired a Misic Master horn with the mahogany horn. The horn has 2 cracks clear through and neck to bell. Someone before me tried to glue it and it did not hold. Any advice before I attempt? Any suggestions on removing the excess glue around the joints without damaging or the need to strip the horn? Thanks.

Mine did the same thing. I ended up refinishing it after the re-glue.

You need to completely remove all the old glue or the new won't hold. Only use a PVA based glue. A sharp knife, like an exacto knife is good for scrapping off the glue. The bell is mahagony and very soft, so be careful to remove as little wood as possible. Often scraping with the knife edge tilted away from the direction of cut (so the blade does not dig in) is the best to clean a soft surface.

I was able to save my decal, but I believe there is a reproduction available.

Good luck and be careful scraping.

Here is mine 20 years after re-gluing several sections and refinishing. I manage to save the original decal.
Now, as you can see, another section on the left is starting to let go  Hide glue originally used is junk.
Maybe time for me to sell it before it gets worse. It is a loosing battle. :(
