Sorry for my very basic questions, I am only an EE and I don't have a lot of experience refinishing wooden cabinets. I am planing on stripping the original finish of this old Zenith, re-stain it, paint the the dark brown trim and and clear coat everything.
1) What is the best paint stripper for such a cabinet? 2) Do I stain the entire cabinet first and then apply the trim paint? Do I have to mask the trim area? 3) What kind of trim paint should I use?
All help would be greatly appreciated.

That cabinet doesn’t look too bad in the photo. You might be able to save that finish. Search for “gojo” hand cleaner on this forum. It works well for cleaning these radios. See how it looks after you clean it up.

It does look like the finish is salvageable and saving it will also preserve the original Zenith logo. It does seem you should smooth and repaint the edges.
