That resistor has two slider taps, in some models, one to adjust the bias pot voltage and the other to set the low screen (as I recall).<P>------------------<BR>

Thanks very much for the info Ben. I think that meter is for a 534. Mine reads 534A on it and we have discovered that they are different. I have repaired my meter and, thanks to several Forum members, I have everything I need now to complete this unit. I will finish replacing out of spec resistors this week and it should be on-line by the weekend. Thanks a million to everyone who responded both publicly and privately.<P>------------------<BR>Tim
