I was given this nice little Simpson DMM. It works off the AC supply, and can also take NiCads. It calls for a pair of 2AF, which I can't find anywhere.
If I stick in two pairs of AA's
(one each button top, on each flat) they fit perfectly but no go. Is the 2AF something other than equivalent to a pair of 1.2v cells?
------------------
Mike
I think you might be dealing with a real interesting one - If it is like the Simpson
444, the manual on the Simpson site is pretty vague - send the unit back.
I would call or e-mail Simpson - I have gotten excellent response from their techies
usually within an hour or two.
Bill
------------------
For what it is worth, I have a Simpson 462. I put 4 AA duracells in it a couple of years ago and it works fine. I did that because the AC charger failed. Jim
------------------
