Could someone explain the multiplier and attenuator controls on the Eico 315. I just checked resistors and recapped. Seems to be working properly. The multiplier increased the signal as I expected but how are these used when doing an alignment. Thanks

The "multiplier" control is just the coarse adjustment of the output level. The one labelled "attenuator" is the fine adjustment. Use both as required to get the appropriate output level.

You want to use the least amount of signal strength possible to make your alignments.

These controls allow you to do this. :D
