Ah, Blue Cheer, supposedly the loudest band ever, at least for a time.

So which version came first, Blue Cheer or The Who?

That's a tough call; while The Who's version wasn't actually released until about 1970 I suppose Blue Cheer could have been influenced if they heard The Who perform it at the Monterey Pop Festival. Two excellent covers of a great Eddie Cochran song that was originally a B-side release.

Started digging in my classic country and found this gem I haven't played for years. I remember hearing it for the first time on WHO, "coast to coast, border to border, and then some". Those were the days.

Christmas tunes off my smartphone.

Some classics like:

Grandpa got run over by a beer truck, by Da Yoopers, for guys in Michigan:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8b1HRR-MWnw

And a Weird Al's Christmas at Ground Zero, for all of us who grew up during the Cold War:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t039p6xqutU

Antique related: I'm amplifying the output, with a ratsnest wired amp, using a 12AV6 & 6AQ5. One wrong bump, and I could be sending 250V down the input wire, and toast my smartphone. :(

Stuck in the Psychedelic Era - plays great tunes from the 60s/70s every Saturday night on PBS. Produced here at the local PBS station every week but plays on several PBS stations across the country.
