The guy selling these transmitters is a total AS* HOLE I asked him a question about his transmitter one time and the guy came unglued called me names I won't repeat here maybe he was drunk or high on something? He accused me of wanting to steal his design, and I guess under sell him not sure what his concern was so no way would I give this guy any of my money. Buyer beware and good luck with support if you have problems with your purchase.

Really? If he was that concerned over someone stealing his design, then why did he put a picture of the underside of his transmitter in his listing? Given enough time I could easily trace it and draw out a schematic.

At the time there was no picture on his Ebay account from what I can remember. Are you the seller?

No I'm not the seller, I was referring to the picture in the listing. It has been referenced and is the second one down in this thread.
If the guy was an ***-Hole to you I wouldn't want to deal with him. I had seen his transmitter listed before though and dismissed it as being overpriced for what it is. I was commenting on how if the guy accused you of trying to steal his design, then why he made the innards visible to the public in his listing, as it would thus be easy for someone to trace the circuit and copy it.

To remind everyone here... the only reason I posted it at all .... was simply because I admired the clean, well constructed circuit layout.
It's a compliment only to the nice hand-work.

I was not commenting in any way about the guy himself, or the price, or the transmitter design quality or power, or his personality or anything else.

A beautifully done job of wiring and planning.... that's all.

Yes I understand what your original post was all about I just wanted to warn people that even though the handy work is very well done the seller was extremely unprofessional in his response to simple questions about his product. Any well documented radio manual would include what I asked for. Now lets get back to your original post.

Would you have a link to that thread, and did it contain a schematic?

It's on first page of Homebrew, approx 10 posts below this one(it's rarely been off front page)... Yes there is a schematic but the $3 Electronic Goldmine transformer I designed around is no longer available... I think Norm bought the most of them and gave them to Bill Hamre who distributed to would be builders...

My wife says it wouldn't make any difference. Men don't read instruction manuals anyway...

Naww...While I admit that it would make life easier at times, there's nothing like that 'ol feminine mystique to drive us up the wall occasionally...

That's a good one poor Alice. Even tough old Ralph just couldn't get a break in life TV sure did portray men differently back then a lot of men on TV still had a set that weren't kept in their wife's purse like today's metro sexual male.

That's beautiful... where is all the interconnecting wiring? I don't see any wires, just components so nicely laid out.

I must say Martin, you do have quite a setup that most of us only envy.
Very nice.
