aww, I love Simon and Garfunkel's music. Even when they parted and each went solo. Art came out with this jewel! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GwsMhc6u-1kI think I have the lyrics to Paul's "You can call me Al" memorized! -Steve

I've always liked Simon and Garfunkel; even when they started out as Tom & Jerry (Hey Schoolgirl).

Then there was Jerry Landis (Paul Simon) doing "The Lone Teen Ranger". One of my favorites. Charted #97 in January of 1963... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KZ-EOO1hpiQ

The worst songs I've heard are those that stations play over and over and over again. That's the main reason I refuse to listen to Boston anymore and have done so for the last 15 or so years. All some stations play of them and other groups are a few of their most popular songs or biggest hits even though the artists had other songs that were very good. db gain wrote: You're not embarrassed by disco? Nothing wrong with Disco. It's just that you don't like it. Dutch Rabbit wrote: i do know black friday was the day it officially started on many stations around here years prior.
steve Around where I live in the later 80's early 90's I seem to remember one station playing Christmas music all day the day after thanksgiving then interspersing it in their regular rotation of music throughout the Christmas season. azenithnut wrote: can't go wrong with TSO or Mannheim Steamroller. Very good stuff!!! -Steve Agreed This all boils down to people's own opinions and tastes which is why I refrained to comment on some of the posts here.

Quote: The worst songs I've heard are those that stations play over and over and over again. Hate to say it, but I cannot no longer listen to the Beatles for this exact reason. All that Beatlemania back in the 70's did them in for me! Seemed like every station I turned to was playing them. Same songs over and over. Too sad, I enjoyed their music before that.

You hide your feelings well, Steve...but I absolutely agree. I would include anything by Bob Dylan. I think it would be less painful to pull my fingernails out than listen to him.

actually Dylan does not bother me. i can handle that with no problem.
bono (i usually drop the second 'o' and ad "er" when referencing him) for U2, joplin, and the lead singer from Rush, geddy lee--
they are horrible, absolutely horrible ; cat screaming, alley cat dying, fingernails across the chalkboard ; THE worst vocals i've ever heard.

Hi all . Try this cant get through it just that bad. I tried to play it for others they all wanted it stopped almost immediately. Be careful of what you ask for as you just may get it and since you asked you got it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8do_Vsc4Frw

Obviously sickos! Even a bad song can have good parts, a drum roll or bass line. I'll mentally cut the vocals if am sick of them.

I don't see any mention of "Loving You" by Minnie Ripperton-she hits notes only a dog can hear!

There was a reason they parodied that song in South Park.

Not sure why she butchered this song...and sung it in the style of Mrs. Miller.
