Hi Guys,
Veneer on top is ruined and needs to be replaced, what type of wood is this?
I was thinking of replacing the top with the same type as the sides.
Thank you for your help !!

The sides look like walnut so chances are the top is walnut, too. Have fun and make it work.

Thanks guys!!!
Bought walnut veneer for the top, waiting for it to arrive.
Thank you Greg for the previous post, looks like they wanted to use Van Dyke Brown, I just tested Perfect Brown and it matches "perfectly" with the trim. Van Dyke is way too dark.

I have the chassis restored and working, I will post photos on the electrical forum when I get a chance.

For now the cabinet is stripped, I used Citrus Strip from home depot, works great ! followed by a few wipe downs using lacquer thinner.
I will use Mohawk Ultra Clear Gloss for the the cabinet with Perfect Brown for the trim.
Will post photos when done.
