What's the number on that capacitor pak (Polymet?) underneath that yellow capacitor on the left hand side on your set .....C4621?....And how many pins or terminals of it?....The other one is a C4517 or 4517 nearby?

The polymet cap is c 4517 with 4 pins and the one in question has no number with 4 pins but one has been cut off and I assume it is the yellow cap. Sorry the c4517 has the wire cut not the other one.
Also inter stage transformer has 5 wires and one not connected and here are the 4 connections - rf choke - rf choke - c 4517 - tone control not sure of one not connected

Yep...seems the best you have...Unless there's some other factory manual for the Columaire-8 which is out there.(I can't find it) ...It's identical to the one in RCC and pretty detailed...Suppose you could always contact Dave at Just Radios for factory lit if he actually had it. http://www.nostalgiaair.org/pagesbymode ... 030134.pdfKen

Any more info or help on this radio would be great. Also how does one replace the cap blocks? Do you just take out all together stuff or jus leave in place and add new ones.

I would restuff the capacitor boxes (there are 2) Note that the filters (electrolytic) are separate.

It is quite simple to restuff many of those cans, I normally line cans with insulation paper and as modern caps are smaller, that can make it easier. It can also mean that they can move around & short, so that has to be dealt with. The lining acts as a sleeve, should there be a need for future removal as well as restricting shorting to the can.
It is important to colour code the wires so that you can identify what is connected to what, especially when you get a can with more than eight in it. Silicone sealer makes a wonderful filler & binder but its insulation properties should never be relied on (not good).
There simply has to be a plan before touching anything.

Going to attempt electrolytic can first. Now to figure out the connection points.
