Is the title a typo or has the June 5th meet been canceled and the July 11th been rescheduled for July 6th?

I hope nothing interrupts my getting there on Sunday, and that someone brings a non-chipped knob and a 6B7 with a J date code in the pin circle for my RCA 128.

Will be bringing my membership application with me too, if that's all right

Wow, I'm happy someone posted here again. For some dumb reason I had it in my head the swapfest was Saturday. Just now I took a break from loading stuff near the back door of my house to get ready for loading up my car tomorrow. I went here and read its on Sunday. I would have pulled out whats left of my hair if I showed up to any empty parking lot.

I've done it twice before years ago. First time I was going as a buyer so I didn't load the car for nothing. But, it was about a 150 mile round trip. I showed up a week early.

The 2nd time I loaded up my car to sell and drove to a local swap. I was a day too late because the website I got the date from was not the current year.

The swapfest went great for me. With my giveaway prices I sold 7 of the 8 radios I brought plus a speaker. I was able to park to get maximum possible shade coverage and a constant breeze kept things pleasant.

I came home with a Hallicrafters SX-71 receiver, a 6146 tube and a handful of 1/4" stereo plugs and jacks.

Paul, if you read this, I meant to say Stromberg Carlson, not Setchell Carlson.

Well, see, you made it on time and in good shape. :)
Is that funny - I was in the middle of typing this when I was interrupted by a note that another post had been made:

I remember now - I'm 90% certain that you ended up with my Stromberg-Carlson 240M. That is a nice radio. Hope it worked out well for you.

Thats the one. You weren't home so you left it on the porch. At first I didn't like the looks of the cabinet but my friend did. He was going re-purpose it and I kept the chassis. After about 6 months he gave the cabinet back to me. By that time I had the radio playing and joined the 2 together again. The top had warped and it was a long process to straighten it out with water and weights.

Plenty of knobs and tubes for sale there today. Did you find what you needed?

Glad the Stromberg is doing all right. Otherwise, I got what I had to have, thanks for asking. Got the knob I was looking for (thanks again Jim  ) and although I didn't find the exact engraved-base tubes I wanted, I did get what I needed to find to get everything playing, and that's good enough for now. A few useful parts for the future. It was a good day.
