Hi,

I'm looking for a manual and/or schematic for an E-200 (no alpha suffix) that covers SN 15960.

Thank you in advance,

Ross

Radio Museum has the schematic. Can't tell how good a copy it is.

There were 2 possibly 3 versions of the first E-200, not counting the B and C versions. The schematic you need should be here.

The second schematic in this set should cover your E-200. It would it interesting to know if it doesn't, and if so, what the differences are.

Here's the corresponding set of parts lists:

This article written by Precision's Chief Engineer G. N. Goldberger should provide much of what you need to know with respect to a manual:
https://www.byan-roper.org/steve/manual ... 940-05.pdf

There is also Goldberger and Robinson's "Servicing by Signal Substitution" book. The version I have scanned is for the E-200-C, but it also covers the E-200 and includes schematics for it.

You'll have to keep the more limited frequency range of the E-200 in mind when reading it, though. The E-200 won't cover the modern FM band, while the E-200-C does.

This E-200 restoration thread may or may not be helpful:

Here's a thread with a bit of history on the Precision E-100, E-200, E-200-C, and E-200-D signal generators.

I hadn't previously seen any reference to an E-200-B. Do you have any links to information on it?

Thank you all. I love this forum. I'll check these out and get back with what may be different.
Thanks again,
Ross
