This thread is good for organ enthusiasts, so I'll post this video of our church organist doing a voluntary on "Happy Birthday" mixed with some Toccata in D minor. Every Sunday we are treated with one of his spur-of-the-moment compositions. Turn up your speakers and subwoofer and enjoy!

Try this link. I think it's set to public, as I don't follow this guy.

This I know will work, YouTube, although the audio is not as good as the facebook version. Scroll to 45:39 to get the same section, but the voluntary actually starts at 43.21. https://youtu.be/owslIbNIXfg?t=2739

Thanks for posting Merrill, I have always loved the pipe organ from classical to theater. I bought a CD from Lauren years ago of his son playing and was very impressed. Alan and I traded some CD years ago. If I were closer I would love to go through that record collection. I played for a while when I was a teen but then I got too involved in other things, I wish I had pursued it more as I love Bach.

As I have mentioned before, I too am very fond of the pipe organ. Doing YouTube searches for pipe organ, I stumbled across this guy who was a teenager when this video was made. I think he is in Canada. Quite talented, and I only wish I had learned how to play.

This my personal favorite organist. An incredible Englishman and his brother, who occasionally perform organ/ piano duets. Amazing work transcribing orchestral pieces into organ solos, like the Blue Danube, the 1812 Overture and so on. Not to mention all the great places they film as they play.

I think Jonathan Scott may be the greatest organist extant. The videos are great and so is the sound quality. Move over Virgil :D

I'll be composing a list of Alan's records if there is much interest and will be selling them very reasonably.
