I found this for sale online and am not sure what it is. Close up of the controls looks like it says record tape in one of the positions but I don't see any tape heads. Anyone recognize this machine?

It was most likely for syncing records to film .

The tape head is under the turntable.

Judging by the drive pin on the turntable (if that's what it is and not just a mark), it may also be a record recorder.

It is -- if you look carefully at the legends, one of the controls is marked "Record to disc." It can record to disc, record to tape, or transfer either way between the two.
