I'm trying to find a cross reference for a power transistor S40411. It has a letter designation above the part number which is F and I thought that might be Fairchild but nothing turned up on their website. This is a late 1960s to early 1970s transistor amplifier with an interstage transformer. I believe it was buiilt by Bell Electronics for I. T. Verdin. There Schematic also shows the same part number.

I've uploaded the schematic to a 300dpi jpg file here:

The 1969 RCA transistor handbook lists a 40411 (no S). It is a silicon npn power transistor in a TO3 case. Max C-E voltage 90. Max power 150W, hfe 35-100. Maybe this will help.
